The Bahamas Cultural Association of BC is the first cultural organization in British Columbia dedicated to empowering, educating, and uplifting Bahamians living abroad. Serving as a hub for cultural and social events, it fosters a strong sense of community and connection. I had the privilege of designing the brand identity to unite Bahamians in BC with their roots back home in The Bahamas. The design evokes a tropical, inviting, and comforting atmosphere, capturing the warmth and essence of the Bahamian spirit. Incorporating elements like the ocean and local cuisine—symbols universally recognized for drawing people to The Bahamas—it reflects the beauty and vibrancy of our culture. The warm, tropical hues embody the friendliness and hospitality of Bahamians, while natural fonts mirror the beauty of our natural resources and the deep love we have for our heritage. Ultimately, the design serves as a reminder of who we are—connected, proud, and always with home in our hearts—empowering every Bahamian to embrace their roots, no matter where life takes them.

With intuitive swipe functionality for quick connections, the app streamlines the process of finding meaningful relationships. The brand identity, crafted by myself and three other team members, features gender-neutral colors—blending pink and blue to evoke balance and inclusivity—along with icons that symbolize connectivity. Rounded fonts were carefully chosen to reflect the natural flow of dating—approachable, easygoing, and effortless—ensuring a seamless and inviting user experience from start to finish.

Hello Mom was thoughtfully designed to support mothers during the transformative stages of pregnancy and the first year postpartum—times often filled with emotional and physical challenges. The brand identity is rooted in soft pink and purple hues, paired with rounded, natural tones and fonts, symbolizing the delicate balance of giving and sustaining life. We also incorporated symbolic elements to celebrate the femininity that every woman possesses—a reminder to honour the wins of both pregnancy and postpartum. It's a tribute to never forget who you were before and who you are now as a mother. Every design element was carefully crafted to evoke warmth, comfort, and trust, ensuring that mothers feel fully supported and embraced on their journey.
